Your workspace, explained

Privacy & your data.

Carry Demo helps you explore stock workflows with sample data. Here is what stays on your device and what can leave it.

Stock data on your device

Carry keeps sample inventory, receipt drafts, pending operations, settings, and related local records on your device so work can persist between sessions. The web app uses IndexedDB. Native app records use encrypted SQLite with an encryption secret held through the device’s secure storage. Captured photos are saved locally through browser storage or native app file storage; the SQLite encryption statement does not mean every photo file is separately encrypted.

Camera and photos

Carry can request camera access for scanning and invoice or label photos. Camera access is used when you choose those features. Photos are kept with the local receipt workflow. Taking a photo and sending it for invoice reading are separate actions.

Optional AI invoice reading

When you ask Carry to read an invoice, the selected invoice or label images are sent to Google through Firebase AI Logic and the Gemini API. The extracted supplier details, product descriptions, quantities, dates, and prices return to a review draft. You must check the draft before confirming a receipt. This notice makes no guarantee of zero retention by Google; its service terms and data handling apply.

Firebase App Check and, on the web, reCAPTCHA Enterprise help protect access to the reading service. These services may process technical and device information for security. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

Your ERPNext connection

When you configure a connection, Carry communicates with the ERPNext service you select using the credentials you provide. It can fetch stock data and send operations you confirm. Your organisation’s ERPNext administrator controls access, server logs, retention, and the records stored in that system. Sample and connected workspaces are kept separate in the app.

The download website

This site serves the app pages, release information, and available downloads through its hosting provider. The provider may process request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the site. The download pages do not add advertising trackers or a mailing list.

Removing data

Use the sample reset controls to reset the sample workspace. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the web app’s local storage. For native app data, use your device’s app storage controls or uninstall the app. Export or sync anything you need first. Removing local data does not reverse stock operations already accepted by ERPNext or remove records held by external providers. Contact your ERPNext administrator about those records.
